Hypomnemata Dataset

This dataset contains information on 656 Greek documentary papyri (or ostraca) belonging to the category of hypomnemata, dated from the third to the first century BCE. It was compiled for a PhD thesis at the University of Geneva (L. Ferretti, τῷ δεῖνι παρὰ τοῦ δεῖνος. A History of the Hypomnema in Greek Papyri from Egypt (300 BCE – 100 CE), Université de Genève, 2024, doi: 10.13097/archive-ouverte/unige:174820), within the SNSF-funded project “Grammateus. The architecture of Greek documentary papyri” (Swiss National Science Foundation grant num. 182205, PI: Prof. Paul Schubert). It is composed of a tab-separated CSV file and a PDF description of the data and data collection.
