How incremental is motor speech encoding during speech production? Neural evidence from monosyllabic and disyllabic pseudowords

This dataset contains behavioral and electroencephalography (EEG) data from 25 participants collected in a delayed speech production task. Participants produced monosyllabic and disyllabic pseudowords sharing the same initial syllable. The dataset was collected to investigate the temporal extent of motor speech preparation and whether preparation of upcoming syllables occurs before speech onset or during articulation. The data include behavioral measures and EEG data (raw and preprocessed) used for ERP amplitude, topographic (TANOVA), and spatiotemporal segmentation (microstate) analyses.
